Cake Tables Love!

We've done posts on our favorite cakes.. mini cakes... and cookies... unfortunately we don't bake!!

But here is something that we can do... the backdrops for your yummy cakes...

Cake cutting is the best part of a birthday... all the kids surround the cake table and sing the birthday kid a special song.... there is a candle... a wish to be made!

Its a very special moment.... and also one that is most captured in photographs... so we think having a great backdrop is Top Priority!!

Here are some of our favorite backdrops... and my absolute personal favorite one is right at the bottom..

Have fun scrolling thru these :)

Multiple frames and that bark with an owl adds so much texture...

Top Ten Party Invite Tips

1. Pick a theme:

This helps in giving you a start point. There are, other wise a million ideas for a party invite, but with a theme in mind that narrows down the confusion!

2. Stick to the good ol' school method:

Yes, e- invites are easier and faster and less hassle... but come one... I bet you remember the thrill of getting a birthday party invite in school. An envelope with your name on it... with a cute party invite inside.... its just so much more exciting.

3. Keep it simple:

Don't try and add too much to an invite, like chocolates or little toys.... keep an invite an invite and return gift a return gift.

4. Invite everyone in class.

Yes, I know that sometimes that is too many... but I remember for all my birthdays as a child, my parents made me invite every girl in class, no matter if they were my friends or not... there would be no discrimination. Have a simple party but call everyone. No one likes being left out....

5. Have your kid distribute the cards to friends.

This not makes your little one feel special but it also helps him make friends!!

6. Add an RSVP card or number:

And if someone forgets to call and inform of their acceptance or rejection, feel free to call them and double check. Knowing your guest list is very very important.

7. Add an address:

Always add an address in your invite, especially if you are not having it at home.

8. Mention the theme:

Just because you know of the theme, and your invite indicates the theme, still mention the theme and if the guests need to dress up and come. This can be a very confusing part of the party if you're guests were not made fully aware of your theme.

9. Save the date:

This is a good idea, always, and can be done either via email or an sms. A save the date should preferably be sent a minimum of 15 days in advance.

10. When to send the Invite?

If you have sent a save the date message/mail, the actual invite should be sent at least a week in advance.
